Wicklow. Kieran Cunningham Kieran has worked in metal design since 1977 and has developed a unique range of handcrafted modern Irish jewellery. Influenced by Ireland’s rich ancient Celtic heritage. Kieran’s original designs are indiviudally handcrafted from raw materials. He uses sterling silver, yellow gold, brass, copper and alpaca silver. He uses hand-tools to create each piece, including hand-chiseled scroll effects and shining hammered finishes, which are an age-old tradition of Celtic jewellery design. This form of jewellery making has been passed down through the centuries, but with very few jewellers actually using this process, Kieran is keeping this skill alive.
